Hi all, please see attached photos of the school!  Really, it is ALMOST finished!  However, they need some additional support to really "finish" off the school.  Here's what's needed:

- USD 1,900 for desks
- USD 3,000 for final construction fees (you know how every project goes a bit over on costs!)

Please consider to give a bit more for the school in Cambodia!  50 children use the school for English classes, tuturing, entertainment, general gatherings, computer school and more!

All the best,
Cathey

Photos are in from our trip to Cambodia on May 2010!  5 volunteers went together to visit Who Will and Wat Opot communities.

THanks to EVERYONE who donated funds to purchase books and school supplies.  We delivered 50 backpacks, over 75 books, over 100 exercise books, paper, pens, crayons, and other educational posters to the kids.  We had a GREAT time handing out the backpacks, and each child received one matching pack.

At Wat Opot our members had a chance to get a tour of the facility and meet little baby Anne Marie (see previous story below).  In addition we saw the hydroponic garden that we donated at Wat Opot.  The seedlings look great, and we are really excited about future opportunities to work on sustainability with Mark at Wat Opot.

We learned that there is still a GREAT deal of need at both communities.  At Who Will they need help to purchase trees, start a garden and fish farm, and for solar panel.  At Wat Opot we have many teenagers in need of vocational training and educational training.

Please help us to help these wonderful kids!  Enjoy the photos and feel free to contact us any time....

On May 2nd, 2010, Sakka Foundation members visited Wat Opot and had a chance to meet little Anne Marie in person!  She is one month old now, and tiny as can be.  When we first saw her she was being bathed by a lovely, gentle man and his wife.  Anne Marie is doing well and was up to 2.0 kilos at the time we met her.  Wayne is hoping that she doesn't have HIV as it's quite positive that she is gaining weight quickly.  It will take one year to know for sure whether she is negative for the disease.  Please see below wonderful photos of ANn Marie taken on May 2nd....
