Sustainability Projects - Year 2011
Besides assisting the communities in Cambodia for their day to day running or short term development; Sakka focuses on sustainable long-term development as well.
SOLAR POWER PROJECT
Sakka Foundation + professors from the University of Science and Technology are working on a solar power solution for the Who Will Children's community.
Currently Who Will has only a few hours of power available, via an expensive and impractical diesel generator. With the addition of solar, a computer lab and refrigeration would be possible.
TREES and FRUIT/VEGGIE FARM
SAKKA is working with Who Will Children's Community to fund landscaping of trees and fruits and vegetables to create a more sustainable community.
