Impact in 2015
Who Will Children's CommunityChildren have been living in this community since August 1, 2009. The children of Who Will are "economic orphans." Some have lost one or both parents, some have been pulled out of dangerous situations. The management of Who Will has more than 20 years experience in Cambodia, and the project is well run and well organized. Some of the children of Who Will are now graduating from high school - funding is needed to support further university and vocational education for these children. More about Who Will.
Year 2015: Sakka Foundation paid for all costs for a full "household of children" which includes 10 children. This includes food, education, care-taking, medical and clothing. USD 12,240. |
Wat Opot Children's CommunityThe children at Wat Opot are either HIV positive or their primary caretaker has died of AIDs. Due to the availability of ARV drugs, the children are currently healthy, happy, playful, and very loving. However, although the children are healthy now, there are signs of some children are showing signs of rejecting second-line HIV medication and no third-line medication is available in Cambodia.
More about Wat Opot. Year 2015: Sakka Foundation will pay for the cost of the food for the whole year for the community. USD 18,000. |
